Melbourne independent artist and passionate environmentalist Catherine Meeson has released two powerful environmental anthems of contrasting style in 2017, I Am (song of the Earth) and Mr Big Man. She is proud to release her latest single, Mr Big Man in it’s performance debut on December 2nd, a political power punch electro folk/ punk rock song in support of the #StopAdani Carmichael coal mine campaign.

Catherine responded to Green Music Australia’s call out for musicians/ artists to join the campaign and support the #StopAdani coalition that toured the east coast of Australia. Catherine’s passion for the planet gave her the inspiration to pen Mr Big Man, speaking her truth about big corporations’ lack of consideration for the planet; with the purpose of uniting people together through music to bring about social awareness and proactive change. Music is a perfect medium to speak out for the well-being of all.
The Australian World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef, will be devastated by this mine, a beauty that should remain for all the world to see for generations to come.
Mr Big Man was released on October 3rd in support of the #StopAdani Coalition national day of action on October 7th.

(If the proposed mine goes ahead, subsidized by the Australian government with tax payer funds to the sum of $1,000.000.000, it will wreak havoc on the Australian continent, the World Heritage listed Great Barrier reef and it will double Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions every year, bringing shame on Australia in the era of clean energy transition. It would be in contravention of Cop21 agreements. Penned to be the biggest coal mine in Australian history to date)
