I AM SONG OF THE EARTH AND THE CALL OF OMA SINGLE LAUNCH AND MIXED ARTS EVENT
WHAT IF THE EARTH PUT OUT A CALL TO ARTISTS TO EXTEND HER BODY, BE HER BRAIN, BE HER ARMS AND LEGS, BE HER VOICE, HER EARS, EXPRESS HER HEART AND SOUL, WOULD YOU RESPOND? DO YOU HEAR HER CALL?
I Am (Song of the Earth) is the call of life on earth, a plea to come into right relationship with all life. It is a reminder of the great beauty and diversity we stand to lose in the 6th great extinction, at the dawn of the Anthropocene era (now).
The event will be a Celebration of Life- On Earth Day April 22nd- Exploring the Great Way of Life © in all its colours and expressions.
It is a call to Action- to Awakening to improve our relationship with Planet Earth.
Melbourne independent artist Catherine Meeson is proud to announce the release of her epic electro orchestral single and video ‘I Am (Song of the Earth)’, through the concurrent launch performance of the first instalment of the Tales of Oma; ‘ The Call of Oma’, on EARTH day. It is an opportunity to bring people together as Artists For Earth, to celebrate and exchange dialogue in acts of contemplation, pondering the pressing issues of our times using the arts as agents of social transformation.
The artist has a host of other artists joining her with media including: visual arts, sculpture, video, singer songwriter songs, with interactive art processes that directly involve the audience.

The launch will take place at Ceres Environment park April 22nd ‘ Earth Day’. Earth day this year is promoting Environmental and Climate Literacy, with celebrations and initiatives all around the world.
Catherine Meeson is an ethereal electro / folk rock singer songwriter composer and performance/ multi modal artist from Melbourne’s West.
The launch is a Melbourne Earth Guardians fundraiser, a global not for profit organisation that is youth led. It empowers young people to step up to the challenges that lay before us, taking positive action becoming solutionaries on the global stage.
